While out in California late last year with Adam Gorightly, Andy Colvin, Greg Bishop and Robert Larsen, I was amazed to see this huge, sprawling and decidedly strange creation just sitting in a remote part of the desert.Basically, it's a gigantic shrine to God, complete with various winding pathways, little cave-like rooms, and an abundance of rock-paintings and carved features.
I was trying to think what it reminded me of, but I think Robert Larsen got it spot-on when he said it looked like a multi-colored version of the ape-city in the original 1968 Planet of the Apes movie with Charlton Heston!
